“There is no way to quantify how much the efforts of the Collierville Education Foundation mean to the teachers and students of Collierville Schools. Their grant program has allowed our teachers to implement new programs and supplement equipment needs, and that would not have been possible without the grant program and its fundraising efforts. I am most appreciative of the CEF’s commitment to improving educational opportunities for Collierville Schools.”
Landmark Bank supports CEF as Friend of Education
For the second year, Landmark Bank has generously supported CEF at the Friend of Education level. CEF representative Emily Rice recently presented them with a badge signifying their support of our mission to enhance Collierville education. Thank you again, Landmark Bank!
Board Member Spotlight - February
It's time for another board spotlight! Meet Alexis Heinz, CEF board member of three years. Alexis was inspired to join CEF's board because of her 12-year tenure as a teacher. She knows firsthand the time and energy teachers in Collierville and around the country put into enhancing their students' education. She wants to be a part of providing teachers their well-deserved grants.
"These teachers are constantly searching for ways to make education more worthwhile, more rewarding and beneficial for all of their students, and it is genuinely rewarding to see their excitement when they receive that grant that they fought so hard to get."
As for her favorite CEF memory, it's a family affair! Alexis' dad, Larry Boyd, received the 2019 C.H. Harrell Award for his contribution to Collierville education at this year's Teacher Appreciation Luncheon.
Thanks for all you do, Alexis!
